Ternyata kode tersebut pada setiap abrasive wheel adalah menunjukan Butiran (material), Grit (ukuran &amp; jumlah butiran) dan Mutu (kekerasan) yang terkandung di dalam abrasive wheel. Ciri-ciri dari abrasive wheel yang baik pada saat digunakan haruslah mencantumkan kode speksifikasi pada setiap produknya. Berikut ini penjelasan dari bagian-bagian pada kode spesifikas abrasive wheel:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Butiran (material)<\/strong><br \/>\nSebelum membeli abrasive wheel sebaiknya kita pastikan pilih jenis butiran yang tepat sesuai dengan material benda kerja dan kegunaanya, seperti:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>Butiran bertuliskan A : artinya Brown Fused Alumina, Kegunaannya: cocok untuk besi ringan<\/li>\n<li>Butiran bertuliskan WA : artinya White Alumina, Kegunaannya: cocok untuk besi baja<\/li>\n<li>Butiran bertuliskan Z : artinya Zirconium, Kegunaannya: cocok untuk pengecoran \/ kerja berat<\/li>\n<li>Butiran bertuliskan C : artinya Black Silicone Carbide, Kegunaannya: cocok untuk beton<\/li>\n<li>Butiran bertuliskan GC : artinya Green Silicone Carbide, Kegunaannya: cocok untuk marmer, granit, kaca, bebatuan.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li><strong>Grit (ukuran &amp; jumlah butiran)<\/strong><br \/>\nGrit menunjukkan ukuran dan jumlah setiap butiran. Pastikan pilih spesifikasi grit yang tepat sesuai dengan hasil finishing yang diinginkan. Semakin kecil angka grit, semakin besar ukuran butiran sehingga kekuatan abrasi tinggi dan hasil permukaan terlihat kasar, begitu juga sebaliknya.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mutu (kekerasan)<br \/>\n<\/strong>Mutu merupakan kadar kelekatan diantara setiap butiran. Mutu yang mengarah ke huruf A menunjukkan kadar kelekatan semakin rendah.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Demikianlah penjelasan singkat beberapa istilah dan kode spesifikasi yang harus diperhatikan agar tidak salah dalam memilih abrasive wheel yang akan digunakan.
