Sealent ini umumnya dikenal dengan baunya yang kuat seperti cuka.<\/p>\n<p>edangkan Neutral Cure Silicone adalah sealant yang mengeluarkan zat alkohol atau zat non acidic (tidak asam) selama proses curing\/mengering\/perekatan. Sealant ini tidak berbau.<\/p>\n<p>Jadi apakah perbedaan dari Acetoxy dan Neutral ?<\/p>\n<p>Acetoxy Cure Silicones mengeluarkan zat acetic acid saat curing\/mengering dan dapat menyebabkan masalah pada substrat\/material tertentu. Ketika digunakan pada batu granit atau batu alam lainnya dapat menyebabkan pemudaran warna\/perubahan warna, ketika digunakan pada logam ataupun besi dapat menyebabkan menyebabkan korosi dan pada permukan bitumen dapat menyebabkan bleeding \/ bececer. Jadi ketika menerapkan sealant pada permukaan yang sensitif, lebih baik untuk menggunakan Neutral Cure Silicone dibanding dengan Acetoxy Silicone karena Neutral Cure Silicone tidak akan menyebabkan reaksi pada material permukaan. Acetoxy Silicone biasanya lebih cocok digunakan di dapur, kamar mandi dan penyilingan bagian dalam, hal tersebut dikarenakan harganya yang lebih terjangkau dan proses curing yang lebih cepat dari pada Neutral Cure Silicone.
